Following a lackluster career of cross country and track and field in high school, I continued running for fun and fitness through college. After college, I was challenged by a friend to run a half marathon with him, which then led to a marathon, and eventually to the next four years of focused running and training.
I completed my first marathon in Hartford, CT, in 2009 in just over 4 hours. 2 years later, I finished the Philadelphia marathon in 2 hours and 57 minutes. In between were many more races of varying distances.
I was a member of the Cambridge Running Club for 3 years and during that time improved immensely through focused track workouts and group long runs. In addition to road races, I have taken my running to the trails and completed two Reach the Beach 200 mile relay runs with both a full team and an ultra team.
